Kaitlin Armstrong, the Accused Killer, May Have Undergone Cosmetic Surgery: ‘Whoa, what happened to you?’

After being arrested in Costa Rica the previous week, yoga instructor Kaitlin Armstrong, who was charged with the death of professional cyclist Moriah Wilkinson, has returned to the United States.

Many people suspect Armstrong got a nose job based on her current appearance and photos of her from before she ran.

Following the shooting death of Wilson on May 18, 2008, in Austin, Armstrong spent six weeks in hiding. She cut her hair short and colored it red while she was a wanted fugitive. Her nose looks upturned and more slender.

“There’s still some yellow discoloration that you can see on her nose. Also if we zoom in a little closer, we can see that there are probably the remnants of a scar here,” Inside Edition interviewed Dr. Jennifer Levine, a facial surgeon.

Armstrong found a receipt for $6,350 in her things at the Santa Teresa hostel for cosmetic surgery under a different name. Armstrong created a story regarding the bandage she applied to her nose while hiding.

“I have seen her with the bandage and I just was in shock. I’m like, ‘Whoa, what happened to you?’ She said it was a surfboard accident. I was like, ‘That doesn’t look like a surfing accident.’ I asked her, ‘Man that must hurt?’ And she was telling me, ‘Yeah, it hurts really bad,’” Armstrong was introduced to Zachary Paulsen by Paulsen.

Armstrong is accused of killing Wilson because she thought the woman was having an affair with her boyfriend. She has a $3.5 million bail set.
