Kim Kardashian Is Privately Coping With Kanye West’s Drama and Anti-Semitic Remarks

Kanye West’s disturbing anti-Semitic remarks have caused the fashion industry to distance itself from him. Adidas was the latest company to end its professional relationship with the Yeezy designer yesterday—at a high cost to him.

West’s public controversy, which included him saying that he and ex-wife Kim Kardashian were only divorced on paper while also doubling down on his antisemitic remarks in the same interview, has undeniably impacted Kardashian, who shares four young children with West: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. A source close to Kardashian told E! how she is dealing with her ex-public husband’s fallout.

“Kim’s just always worried about the kids,” one source said.

A second source addressed how she’s handling things at home. “Kim is good at compartmentalizing and trying to keep things peaceful for the kids,” the source said. “They focus on the kids and what they are doing.”

TMZ reported on October 14 that while West has a history of mental health issues (he has bipolar disorder and has publicly had manic episodes in the past), Kardashian has not stepped in to help or intervene, despite previously doing so.

Multiple sources told TMZ that “Kim has totally removed herself from the situation with Kanye and hasn’t spoken directly to him in weeks.”

According to the outlet, West has contacted her but she has not responded. Sources close to West say they wish Kardashian was talking to him to help de-escalate the situation.

Multiple sources told the outlet that West “could lose a lot of money while everything seems to fall around him, but there’s no safety net.” That turned out to be true.

Kardashian hasn’t made any comments about West, but she did condemn antisemitism on her Instagram Story. “Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end,” she wrote.
