Horror at Tube Station as Man Chased and Stabbed to Death Over Street Dispute

A shocking act of violence erupted at Seven Sisters Tube station when a street row turned deadly. Two young men from Tottenham, Kevin Nguyen and Milumo Pedrinho, both just 21, have been held responsible for the brutal stabbing of 33-year-old Ervin Baraku.

It all started with a confrontation on the street on 23 July 2024. Things escalated fast, with CCTV later capturing Pedrinho chasing Ervin while armed with a large knife. In a desperate attempt to get away, Ervin ran into the station, but tragically tripped at the top of the stairs. It was there that he was stabbed once in the chest. His attackers then fled the scene, leaving Ervin fatally wounded.

Ervin was rushed to hospital, but despite the efforts of medical teams, he died a week later from the injuries he’d suffered in the attack, according to My London.

Nguyen was arrested the very next day, on 24 July, and Pedrinho was taken into custody a few days later on 27 July. While Pedrinho had already admitted his role in the killing earlier this year, Nguyen was only found guilty of murder this week at Inner London Crown Court.

Both are due back in court on 16 June, when a date will be set for their sentencing.

Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn from the British Transport Police said the attack was completely unnecessary and devastating. “This was an absolutely senseless and tragic attack that resulted in a man losing his life. There is absolutely no place for violence on the railway network, so I am glad to see both Nguyen and Pedrinho will be put behind bars for their part in this brutal murder.

“While no prison sentence can ever make up for the loss of a loved one, I hope justice being served can bring Ervin’s family some peace after this horrific ordeal.”

The details of the case have left many stunned, not just by the sheer speed with which the argument turned deadly, but also by the public setting in which it happened. A busy Tube station became the backdrop to a fatal act of violence, witnessed by members of the public and captured on security footage.

What’s particularly heartbreaking is how quickly the situation escalated — from a street argument to a man losing his life on a Tube station stairwell, all in the space of minutes. Ervin, just trying to escape the confrontation, couldn’t have known it would end in such tragedy.

As the case moves towards sentencing, there’s some small measure of closure for Ervin’s family, who’ve endured months of grief and unanswered questions. But the echoes of what happened that day will linger — in the community, among witnesses, and in the memory of a man whose life was cut short by an act of pointless violence.
