Joe Biden regularly makes inaccurate remarks during his speeches which his critics believe proves his “mental decline” that should disqualify him from seeking reelection in 2024.
After President Biden’s speech on global warming in Somerset, Massachusetts, where he claimed to “has” cancer and blamed emissions from oil refineries for it, the White House was forced to provide a clarification.
According to Sputnik News, the president was talking about non-melanoma skin cancers that were removed decades ago, before he took office, White House spokesman Andrew Bates wrote on Twitter.
However, it’s unclear why Biden chose to discuss his own experience with illness in the present tense.
“That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer and why for the longest time Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation,” the president said during his speech in Massachusetts.
Last year, amid regular media reports about Biden’s gaffes during speeches and meetings, his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, released a report about the president’s health which said that POTUS “had several localized, non-melanoma skin cancers removed with Mohs surgery before he started his presidency”.
Biden’s skin cancer, according to O’Connor, was brought on by his repeated exposure to the sun during his boyhood. Even cancer that might have been brought on by chemicals employed in the oil industry, according to the doctor, Biden does not currently have any cancer.
