Royal author Tom Bower told GB News that the Duke of Sussex seems to be gradually stepping away from Meghan as her media career stalls. He claimed Harry has “separated himself” from what he called Meghan’s “crashing career” and is instead throwing himself into projects of his own.

According to Bower, this marks an effort by Harry to reclaim his individual identity. He pointed out that Harry has been making solo visits to the UK, including reunions with King Charles, where the spotlight has been firmly on him.

When asked if Harry had “painted himself into irrelevance,” Bower dismissed the idea. “Well, he hasn’t, because when he comes here, he becomes a focus of attention,” he said, reported the Express.

He went on to describe how Harry had often been cast as “spare to Meghan” while she was aiming to build a television career. “But her series, her career, is crashing,” he added.

Bower also highlighted what he believes to be a shift in their dynamic behind the scenes in Montecito. “So very cleverly, Harry has separated himself from Meghan, as she did from him but she still needs him,” he said.

He suggested that both Harry and Meghan are now grappling with uncertainty about their next chapter. “And so you’ve got this couple in Montecito, desperately looking for a new purpose in life,” Bower concluded.

The comments have reignited speculation over the Sussexes’ future, both together and apart, with many noting that Harry’s independent moves in the UK could signal a wider strategy to rebuild his standing with the royal family while Meghan figures out her next step.
