Prince Harry says sorry to King Charles but is it too late
Prince Harry has reportedly said sorry to King Charles during a recent reunion in London, in what could be the first sign of healing their fractured relationship, reported the Sun.
According to royal expert Patrick Christys, Harry’s apology came after advice from a new team guiding him through his public image. Speaking on GB News, Christys said: “I think Harry has apologized. I believe that behind the scenes, Prince Harry has apologized. It’s the only way I can see this meeting happening.”
The Duke of Sussex is said to have admitted that certain decisions were mistakes, including taking the Home Office to court over his security arrangements. Christys explained: “Apparently, he has a new team around him, one of several new teams he’s had, and they have admitted that the decision to take on the Home Office in the High Court over his security was wrong.”

He also claimed Harry’s circle has made clear that the era of high-profile media outbursts is over. “They have also insisted that the days of interviews with Oprah and others are behind him. So, I think there has been a shift there,” he said.
Harry’s very public fallout with the Royal Family has stretched on for years, fuelled by explosive interviews, documentaries and a memoir that laid bare tensions with his father and brother. But if this apology is genuine, it could be a turning point. Christys cautioned, though, that time will tell whether the Duke truly means it.
“I think we’ll find out soon enough whether he truly means it,” he continued. “Are we going to end up seeing details of this meeting leaked to the US press, appearing in a Netflix documentary, or coming out in some cookery show that Meghan Markle decides to do in someone else’s kitchen in the future?”
The expert’s comments underline the ongoing doubts over Harry’s commitment to keeping family matters private. The Sussexes’ history of sharing behind-the-scenes royal drama with global audiences has made trust a rare commodity within the family.
For now, the fact that a meeting between Harry and King Charles even took place is noteworthy in itself. Relations had seemed close to breaking point after years of barbed remarks and courtroom battles. A direct apology, if confirmed, would mark a dramatic shift from the combative stance Harry has often taken.
It’s unclear what this means for Meghan Markle’s relationship with the wider Royal Family, as the duchess has kept her distance from recent UK visits. But Harry stepping forward with an olive branch could soften the atmosphere, at least between father and son.
Whether this truce lasts depends on what happens next. If the apology stays private and Harry follows through with a less confrontational approach, it might open the door to reconciliation. If details of the meeting spill into the press or a future Netflix project, any goodwill could vanish overnight.
For now, royal watchers will be keeping a close eye on whether Harry’s latest change of heart is the real deal or just another twist in the long-running royal saga.
