Strictly Favorite Nikita Shares Tearful Goodbye as New Dancers Join the Show Ahead of Glittering Return

The buzz is officially back as fans gear up for the return of Strictly Come Dancing later this year. While the full celebrity line-up hasn’t been confirmed just yet, there’s already plenty of excitement building, especially now that the professional dancers have been revealed.

Among the returning stars is fan-favourite Nikita Kuzmin, 27, who recently gave his followers a peek into his personal life with a touching Instagram update. The professional dancer has been soaking up some quality family time in Italy before throwing himself back into the glitz and madness of the Strictly schedule, which traditionally takes over from September right through to Christmas, reports the Express.

In his post, Nikita admitted the visit was bittersweet, as it would be the last time he’d see his family until the festive season. “A bit sad thinking that this was the last time seeing my family until Christmas would love to have them here in London with me,” he wrote, tugging on the heartstrings of his loyal followers.

The photos he shared were filled with sweet moments, from exploring Italy’s gorgeous countryside with his relatives to snapshots with his partner, Lauren Jaine. Naturally, his fans were quick to flood the comments with love and support.

One follower reassured him, “They are always with you and always super proud.” Another added, “Don’t be sad they are so proud of you as are we.” Others shared their hopes of seeing his family cheer him on from the audience again this season.

“So special. Would be lovely if they got to come and see you dance again this series,” one user wrote. Another chimed in warmly, “Ahhh Nikita my heart goes out to you. We are sooo lucky to have you with us in the UK, but understand how hard it must be for you being away from family. Please know we love you lots and are sending supportive hug.”

Back in the UK, preparations are well underway as the professional dancers have reunited to kick off rehearsals for the new series. And it’s not just familiar faces we’ll be seeing this time around — two brand-new pros are joining the cast.

American dancer Alexis Warr is one of the fresh additions and she couldn’t be more thrilled. “I’ve admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. I can’t wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK,” she shared.

Joining her is Australian dancer Julian Caillon, who’s equally buzzing about his Strictly debut. “Joining the cast of Strictly really is a dream come true. I’ve watched it for years, especially cheering on all the amazing dancers I know and work with who’ve been part of it. I can’t wait to get stuck in, have some fun, and be part of something special!”

Strictly Come Dancing is set to waltz back onto BBC One screens later this year and if the early buzz is anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be another unforgettable season.
