Harry and Meghan Finally Reveal How They Really Feel About Returning to the UK and It’s Not What Anyone Expected

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made it crystal clear they’re not planning to pack their bags and head back to the UK anytime soon. Despite ongoing headlines and endless speculation, it turns out the couple are more than content with their life in sunny California.

According to a source speaking to the Mail, “They’re [Harry and Meghan] very happy living in and raising their family in California and, as it stands, have no plans to leave.” That pretty much shuts down any talk of a royal reunion on British soil. The report went on to say, “There is no question of a full return to the UK for him or the family.”

This latest update comes on the heels of Prince Harry’s ongoing legal fight with the Home Office. He’s been pushing back against the decision to strip him of taxpayer-funded security when he’s in the UK — something he clearly feels strongly about. The appeal made its way to the High Court, where Harry’s legal team argued that he should be granted the same level of protection as when he was a working royal.

But Buckingham Palace has remained firm. In a rare comment, the Palace stated: “All these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion on each occasion.” So, for now, the situation isn’t budging, and Harry’s request for security continues to hit a wall.

All this is part of a wider story that’s played out ever since Harry and Meghan famously stepped away from royal life back in 2020. The couple left the UK with their son, Prince Archie, and have since set up a new chapter across the pond. They’ve spoken openly about their reasons for leaving, including claims of racism towards their son from within the Royal Family — a revelation that caused major shockwaves at the time.

Now based in California, Harry and Meghan have expanded their family with the arrival of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, and have built a life that seems worlds away from the traditions and formalities of royal duties. From Netflix documentaries to business deals, they’ve carved out their own path and aren’t looking back.

It’s clear they’re committed to raising their children in the US and continuing their journey outside the constraints of the monarchy. And while Harry may still have legal battles and unresolved tensions with his homeland, a permanent return just isn’t on the cards.

So for anyone still holding out hope that the Sussexes might one day settle back into life behind palace walls — it looks like that ship has well and truly sailed.
