Meghan Markle Just Proved Everyone Wrong and Netflix Is Loving It

Despite all the eye rolls, sarcastic tweets and critic takedowns, Meghan Markle’s Netflix shows have actually been a hit. Yep, the Duchess of Sussex, who’s faced more than her fair share of mocking over her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, is having the last laugh as the content pulls in viewers and sells out products at lightning speed.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond spoke to Express and didn’t hold back. She said Meghan’s show might have been mocked for trying to “elevate” ordinary things, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. “Meghan‘s lifestyle show is perfectly pleasant and has some quite useful tips,” she said. “For example she was much mocked for saying that she wanted to ‘elevate’ ordinary things.”

Jennie added that anyone who watches cookery shows knows presentation matters, and Meghan’s approach is no different from the professionals. “She’s quite right,” she said. “All the professionals agree that it really is vital that dishes are beautifully presented.”

And let’s not forget why Netflix signed them in the first place. Jennie said it clearly had a lot to do with the Royal Family connection, and in that sense, the streaming giant got exactly what it wanted. “It’s quite obvious that Netflix got involved with them because they wanted the inside story of their royal life. And they got it.”

While critics have rushed to label her latest venture as self-indulgent or out of touch, Meghan’s business instincts are proving spot on. Jennie believes Meghan is genuinely invested in her projects, especially the new lifestyle brand she’s been curating through her website. “Well, she has her pride certainly, and I believe her when she says she has poured her heart and soul into her business curating a range of products for her website.”

And the demand? Huge. Every product launched has flown off the virtual shelves. “So far, it has been quite successful – there is clearly a high demand as everything sells out almost instantly,” Jennie said.

It’s not just about what she’s selling either. Meghan’s online presence is growing fast, and that’s opening up major opportunities. “She has certainly built up a very impressive following on social media in a very short time – and that is where the future lies for so many business ventures,” Jennie added.

So, while the public reaction has been loud and often negative, the numbers tell a different story. People are watching, clicking, buying, and following – and Netflix isn’t complaining. Say what you will, but Meghan might just be showing that walking away from the palace doesn’t mean walking away from success.
