GB News Explodes as Guest Risks Prison Praising Palestine Protesters in Live TV Showdown
GB News turned spicy this week when Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello invited Dawn Neesom and James Schneider on air to discuss the Palestine Action stunt at RAF Brize Norton. What followed was a proper dust‑up, and plenty of people at home weren’t having it.
James warned the panel that once a group is labelled a “prescribed terror group”, “they are banned from existing, but if anyone says anything in support of them, they could be in prison for 14 years.” He didn’t stop there – in fact he said: “So what I’m about to say after they’re prescribed could get me put into prison for 14 years,” before praising the activists as “brave and honourable”, reported Belfast Live.
He went on, claiming: “When our government is supporting the genocide of another people, when the overwhelming majority of the British people want to see an arms embargo on Israel to take matters into their own hands, it is honourable and decent”.
Cue Dawn, firmly disagreeing. She branded the protesters “dangerous and stupid” – and didn’t hold back on tone. It got louder from there.
Viewers quickly picked sides. Many firmly backed Dawn, lambasting James for dominating the conversation. One commenter went as far as: “Schneider shut up and let the other side talk. If you have to talk over people to get your point across then it’s not worth making”.
Another warned GB News was losing viewers thanks to James alone: “Losing viewers again because of James!!! For goodness sake he’s a rat gets rude and he’s wrong. If GB News would rather lose viewers… so be it.” Across social media, people were telling James to pipe down or get out.
Right‑wing voices piled on too. One raged: “Communists lose the argument when they SHOUT down any others… Get that James Snider off the TV.” A fair few just switched off, bluntly tweeting: “Not watching.”
One viewer challenged his viewpoint, questioning: “Which cloud in cuckoo land does this James Schneider character live on?” Another snapped: “James Schneider is in the wrong again. There is NOT a majority against Israel. Plus he speaks over everyone! Pull him up, throw him out and teach some manners!!! Well done Dawn.”
While the debate over weapon exports and moral responsibility still simmers, the row took a different turn at the end of the show. Eamonn Holmes confessed he’s been dealing with nightmares for years. He’d been chatting about research suggesting frequent bad dreams could triple your risk of a premature death and even speed up biological ageing.
“Did you have any nightmares last night? Seriously? Well, you’re for an early death then,” he quipped live on Breakfast with Eamonn and Ellie. Then he paused and added quietly: “I have nightmares quite frequently”.
So there we have it – a debate that went from geopolitics to personal confessions, and viewers weren’t afraid to weigh in. Dawn stood her ground, James stirred the pot, and poor Eamonn admitted he’s haunted by bad dreams every so often. The show might have brought viewers in, but it appears plenty switched off somewhere in the middle.
