ITV This Morning Host Reveals ‘We Nearly Lost the Crew’ Following Co‑Star’s Live On-Air Mishap
This Morning made its usual midweek return on Tuesday with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard keeping things lively and upbeat. Viewers got their usual mix of news, lifestyle tips and celeb chats, with appearances from regulars like Lisa Snowdon and Dr Zoe Williams. But it was the competition segment that ended up stealing the show for all the wrong (and hilarious) reasons.
Actress and presenter Natalie Anderson was dialling in live from Mykonos to reveal the details of the latest competition, and it all started off smoothly enough. Looking glam as ever, Natalie was broadcasting from a boat and soaking in the sun, bringing some serious holiday vibes straight to the UK, reported the Mirror.
“Absolutely beautiful here in Mykonos, one of Europe’s most popular summer destinations,” she began, clearly loving life. “Yesterday was beach vibes, today we’re cruising. Please, just take a look at these views!”
She wasn’t wrong — the scene was picture-perfect. Sparkling sea, those classic whitewashed buildings in the background, and Natalie glowing in the Greek sunshine. “It is amazing, the sea is sparkling, the buildings are so white, it is incredibly glamorous here and it’s the perfect place to tell you all about our huge competition,” she added, all smiles. But then, the waves decided they had other plans.
Mid-sentence, the boat rocked violently, catching Natalie and her crew off guard. “That was a huge wave!” she gasped, bursting into giggles as everyone onboard scrambled to steady themselves. Back in the studio, Ben and Cat looked momentarily stunned, clearly unsure whether to laugh or be concerned.
To her credit, Natalie managed to pull herself together quickly, wrapping up the segment like a true professional while the crew in the background frantically tried to regain their footing. But the moment didn’t go unnoticed.
Later in the show, Natalie rejoined the pair on a video call to revisit the competition details. Ben couldn’t help but poke fun at the earlier chaos, joking, “I thought we’d nearly lost the whole crew!” Natalie, clearly taking it all in her stride, laughed it off and carried on like nothing had happened.
Viewers loved it, with social media lighting up with amused reactions to the surprise wobble. Natalie’s charm and quick recovery made it one of those live TV moments people will remember for a while.
Known for her regular slots on This Morning and Loose Women, Natalie’s long been a familiar face on ITV. Of course, many still remember her from her acting days as Stella Davenport in The Royal and Alicia Metcalfe on Emmerdale, but she’s clearly just as at home on a sun-drenched boat — even if it tries to throw her overboard.
The rest of Tuesday’s episode continued without any more nautical mishaps. Johnny Vegas popped in for a cosy chat about his latest TV venture, and Lisa Snowdon served up some fresh fashion advice just in time for summer.
