Ranvir Singh slammed by ITV viewers for interrupting guests while filling in for Lorraine
ITV viewers have had plenty to say about Lorraine Kelly’s stand-in this week, and not all of it has been kind. Ranvir Singh, who has been covering the daytime show, came under fire from some fans after Thursday’s episode when they claimed she kept interrupting her guests.
The morning show featured a mix of topics, including an interview with Strictly Come Dancing winner Joe McFadden, a soap opera news roundup, and a health segment with Dr Hilary Jones. But according to some people watching at home, it was hard to keep up with the conversations because Ranvir talked over others too often.
One viewer wrote on social media: “Ranvir, with all due respect, please stop interrupting. You don’t need to talk all the time. Has someone injected her with Sunny Delight today? She seems particularly talkative today, unbearable.” Another posted: “Is Ranvir just going to talk over everyone today? #Lorraine.” A third added: “She’s particularly insufferable today”, reported the Express.

Not everyone agreed though, and Ranvir also had plenty of supporters who enjoyed her style. One fan tweeted: “She only person I think is good at Lorraine (even over Lorraine herself ofc!) is Ranvir #Lorraine.” Another previously commented: “This programme is much more watchable with Ranvir presenting it.”
The debate over Ranvir’s hosting comes as ITV recently confirmed big changes to its daytime schedule. Starting in January 2026, Lorraine will run from 9.30am until 10am on a seasonal basis, airing for 30 weeks of the year instead of year-round.

This move is part of a wider shake-up to bring consistency to daytime programming. Good Morning Britain will extend to a 6am–10am slot during the weeks Lorraine is off-air. This Morning will stay in its usual 10am–12.30pm position across the year, while Loose Women will air from 12.30pm–1.30pm, also on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks a year, returning to the scheduling format it followed for more than a decade until 2016.
For now, Ranvir remains at the centre of attention as viewers remain divided on whether she’s refreshing or frustrating in the Lorraine seat.
