Prince Harry’s ‘Close Call’ with Stalker During UK Visit Leaves Fans Worried

Prince Harry reportedly had a terrifying close encounter with a suspected stalker during his recent trip to the UK.

The Duke of Sussex is said to have walked past an obsessed woman not once, but twice, while attending events in London last month. This woman is believed to have followed Harry and Meghan Markle halfway around the world on previous occasions, making the close call all the more unsettling.

According to the Daily Mail, the first encounter took place on September 9, when Harry was attending the WellChild Awards at a hotel in London. The woman was reportedly able to get within just a few feet of Harry, and the incident happened after she managed to enter a secure zone.

Two days later, the woman was stopped by Harry’s staff outside the Centre for Blast Injury Studies in west London, but there was no police presence at the time, the report claims.

Her name has not been released, but it is understood that she is on a list of individuals who are known to be obsessed with the Prince. This list was compiled by private detectives working with Harry’s private security team. The woman’s mental health status is not clear, but her actions have raised serious concerns about her intentions.

The woman’s history of following Harry and Meghan across the globe reportedly includes a trip to Nigeria in May last year, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Africa’s most populous country.

The lack of police protection during these incidents has become a sore point for Harry, especially after a recent row about his security arrangements. The Duke lost his legal challenge in the Court of Appeal, which had sought to reinstate the full, publicly funded security protection he once had when visiting the UK, reported Metro.co.uk.

Following Harry and Meghan’s move to the US in 2020, when they stepped down as working senior royals, their full-level security was withdrawn. Now, only the King, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children receive full-time, publicly funded protection.

Despite ongoing tensions around his security, Harry and King Charles did manage to reunite last month after being estranged for over a year. The father and son had tea together for about an hour at Clarence House in London, marking a rare moment of reconciliation.
