King Charles Torn Over Meeting Prince Harry as Rift Deepens
King Charles is said to be feeling uneasy as his estranged son Prince Harry returns to the UK this week. Harry flew in on Monday, sparking speculation about whether there will finally be a private meeting between father and son.
Royal expert Roya Nikkhah spoke on Good Morning Britain and admitted that nothing has been confirmed yet. “No one knows apart from the King, Harry and his private secretary. As from what I understand, it’s still very up in the air,” she said, reported the Express.
If a meeting does take place, she suggested it would most likely be midweek, once the King comes down from Balmoral.

But as Nikkhah explained, arranging a father and son reunion is far from simple. “It’s never that simple. Father and son want to see each other but Harry has said so many things in the last two years that has been hurtful to the King, to the Queen, to William, to Kate. There’s so much mistrust. Can a meeting like that happen and Harry not talk about it after? That’s the key question.”
She also pointed out that Harry’s comments in his memoir Spare about Queen Camilla struck a particularly raw nerve. In the book, Harry described his stepmother as “dangerous”, something the King is said to have found deeply upsetting.
According to the Mirror, Nikkhah stressed that Harry’s words haven’t just hurt his father. “There’s no doubt William wasn’t thrilled about the stuff in Spare and what was said about Kate and Meghan. The Oprah interview, the Netflix series – there’s a lot of things the Royal Family are finding hard to forget,” she said.
The tension has been brewing for years and Harry’s return has reignited debate over whether the rift can be healed. While the King may want to see his son, the bigger question is whether trust can be rebuilt after so many damaging public remarks. For now, the prospect of a reunion remains uncertain, with insiders suggesting it hangs entirely on timing and whether both men feel ready to face each other again.
