Jeremy Vine Fans Fume as Carole Malone Sparks Chaos on Show

Jeremy Vine viewers were left fuming during Wednesday’s episode, with many threatening to switch off after a heated debate got seriously out of hand. Stand-in host Robert Rinder led the show, joined by journalist Carole Malone and presenter Radzi Chinyanganya, but it was Carole’s blunt remarks that really got people talking.

Things kicked off during a discussion about food critic Narinder Kaur’s take on Sicilian cuisine. Carole didn’t hold back, snapping at Narinder, “Why are you shouting?!” as the debate turned fiery. When Narinder tried to defend her opinion, Carole shot back, “Can someone else get in?!”, reported the Daily Mail.

Narinder insisted, “I know good food,” to which Carole sarcastically fired back, “Do you?!” before accusing her of stirring the pot for attention. “You were doing it to get clicks,” she said, referencing Narinder posing in a bikini while eating.

But that wasn’t the only topic that got people riled up. Carole also questioned whether Andy Murray deserved a statue at Wimbledon, sparking even more backlash.

Viewers took to social media to vent, with one calling the debate “absolutely vile.” Another tweeted, “Carole needs taken off TV, she is only there to antagonise other people. No one would miss her. #jeremyvine.”

Some were so fed up they turned off altogether. “Had to switch off #JeremyVine. Carole Malone is a thin-skinned shout machine,” one viewer wrote. Another pointed out the irony, saying, “Oh my the irony of Carole is off the scale… if you don’t want to be treated like a child, don’t act like one.”

Still, not everyone was against her. Plenty of fans were thrilled to see her back on screen, with one writing, “So glad that @thecarolemalone is on!” Another added, “Glad to see you back Carole,” while a third complimented her, saying, “You are looking fabulous on JV today.”

Carole’s no-nonsense style is nothing new—she’s been a familiar face on TV for years, appearing on shows like Loose Women and The Wright Stuff, as well as reality TV stints on Celebrity Fit Club and Celebrity Big Brother. These days, she’s a regular on Sky News and GB News.

As for Jeremy Vine, the show’s been a daytime staple since 2018, with Storm Huntley and Claudia-Liz Vanderpuije stepping in as main cover presenters since 2021. Previous stand-ins include Anne Diamond and Dawn Neesom, with guest hosts like Georgie Barrat, Angelica Bell, Trisha Goddard, and Vanessa Feltz also making appearances.

Jeremy himself first rose to fame in the 80s and is best known for his BBC Radio 2 show, along with presenting Eggheads, Newsnight, and even starring in Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Gogglebox.

Love her or hate her, Carole Malone certainly knows how to get people talking—and this time, she’s got viewers seriously divided.
