GB News Host Takes Brutal Swipe Before Labour Minister Abruptly Removed from Air
GB News presenter Ben Leo didn’t hold back after his interview with Heidi Alexander, the transport secretary, was suddenly cut off. Ben, who co-hosts GB News Breakfast with Ellie Costello, was speaking with Alexander about the recent government report on the grooming scandal.
The conversation quickly turned to the pressure on Sir Keir Starmer to back a national inquiry into the issue, with the Labour leader facing heavy criticism for resisting calls. The Tories have claimed they forced Starmer into a U-turn, accusing the prime minister of dismissing concerns from the opposition as part of “some kind of far-right bandwagon”, reported the Express.
Ellie kicked off the interview by asking Alexander if she was worried that the language being used by Labour was “pushing away” victims from engaging with the national inquiry. “No, I think we have been clear that the important thing is the protection of vulnerable children, and we need to stamp out this vile crime that is being perpetrated by these grooming gangs,” Alexander responded.
However, the interview took a tense turn when the exchange was unexpectedly cut short, leaving Ben Leo frustrated. While Alexander’s comments centred on the importance of tackling child abuse and protecting victims, her abrupt departure from the conversation left a few key questions unanswered.
With a growing public interest in the grooming scandal and the national inquiry, many felt that more answers were needed from the government.
