“I Went Crazy” Donald Trump’s First Meeting with Melania Revealed as Her Ex Shares What She Really Dreamed Of
Before she became one of the most recognizable women in the world, Melania Trump never pictured herself living in the United States. Growing up in Slovenia, she had her eyes set on Europe, not America.
Melania first moved to the US in 1996, becoming a naturalized citizen ten years later. But according to her former boyfriend, Jure Zorc, the future First Lady once dreamed of a very different life. Speaking to ABC News, Zorc shared memories of Melania’s early ambitions and her fashion-filled dreams.

Years later, Melania would catch the attention of another man who couldn’t look away – Donald Trump. The pair met in 1998 at a New York nightclub. Trump, then 52, was separated but not yet divorced, and Melania was 28.
He was reportedly on a date with another woman when he first spotted the Slovenian model, but that didn’t stop him from being completely taken by her. In a 2005 interview with Larry King, the year he and Melania married, Trump admitted how quickly he was drawn to her.
“I went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania. I was supposed to meet this supermodel. They said, ‘Look, there’s so and so.’ I said, ‘Forget about her
