“Happy birthday, Papi. Te Amo por Siempre. Amor Eterno. 43,” which translates as “I love you forever. Eternal love.” Several of Vanessa’s celebrity friends sent their good wishes in the comments section.

Kelly Rowland commented while Ciara also shared three heart emojis. The 41-year-old NBA legend died in January 2020 in a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. Gianna, the couple’s 13-year-old daughter, was also killed in the crash.

They married in April 2001 and were also parents to Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 2. Natalia, who just started her freshman year at the University of Southern California, also paid tribute to her late father on social media on Monday.

She posted a throwback photo of herself sitting on Kobe’s lap during a press conference and captioned, “Happy Birthday Daddy.”

Kendall Jenner left a heart emoji in the comment section and Lala Anthony commented, “Love you.” Rachel Zoe, a celebrity stylist also commented: “ Happy Birthday to the best of the best.”

Earlier this month, Vanessa wrote a heartfelt message to Natalia on Instagram before dropping her off at college: “Tears of joy. I’m SO happy for you Nani! I know daddy is so PROUD OF YOU. I am so PROUD OF YOU!! Your hard work and dedication was so worth it,” she wrote.

“You pushed through the most excruciating pain imaginable and you succeeded,” Vanessa added. “I wish Daddy and Gigi were physically here to celebrate but I know they’re here in spirit. We love you so much! #USC #Trojan #FightOn.“

Natalia received a pair of custom-made USC Black Mamba Nike sneakers as well, so Kobe could be with her “every step of the way.” “I had these shoes made for @nataliabryant in hopes she’d get into her top school,” Vanessa posted at the time. “Daddy and Gigi are ALWAYS here. Forever and always Principessa. #USC #TROJAN  #FIGHTON.”

This brings back all the emotions. Vanessa also added a broken heart emoji at the end of her caption to show how much she is still hurting because of Kobe’s sudden death. She warmly and heartbreakingly remembers the love she shared and continues to share with the Lakers icon.
