Kanye West Accuses GAP of Stealing His Designs, Blasts Them on Social Media

Hip-hop fans are all aware that Kanye West can be a bit of a live wire and that sometimes his so-called genius leads to craziness.

Admitting that he suffers from bipolar, West has engaged in his fair share of arguments and outbursts over the years. He has clearly displayed his insane side, whether it be through his recent taunting of Pete Davidson or his infamous TMZ interview when he preached about slavery.

Kanye has recently focused his attention on the clothing company GAP, accusing them on social media of stealing his designs. Taking to Instagram with his evidence, West posted a photo of fluorescent, iridescent Yeezy reflective sunglasses with the caption, “Gap held a meeting about me without me?”

In his tirade against the clothing firm with which he has collaborated through his own Yeezy brand later that day, he posted further evidence.

A screenshot of a string of text messages was the next piece of evidence. One of the messages read, “This is GAP copying YGEBB,” YGEBB being an acronym for the rapper’s upcoming Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collaboration.

As per Dailymail, the rapper claims that t-shirts recently sold by GAP are his creations and that things are being released without his consent.

The rapper is also certain that the business is meeting and moving forward behind his back. In a post, he explained that they had canceled plans declaring “they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing.”

West ended his tirade by posting a video in which he appears to be lecturing GAP members about what he is trying to achieve.

During the lecture, he exclaims, “This is not celebrity marketing. This is not a collaboration. This is a life mission!” He further wrote an explanation as to why he decided to partner up with GAP, “I signed with both Adidas and Gap because it contractually stated they would build permanent stores, which neither company has done even though I saved both of those companies at the same time.”
