AOC confronted a far-right troll on the Capitol steps who made vulgar remarks about her body: “I was actually walking over to deck”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York criticized a far-right troll on Wednesday night who had earlier approached her on the Capitol steps and made lewd remarks about her body.

“I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

“It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad,” she added.

She then included footage of the incident in a follow-up tweet. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

Ocasio-Cortez uploaded the video on Twitter after it was first shared by comedian and far-right activist Alex Stein. Stein is heard yelling at Ocasio-Cortez in the video, referring to her as his “favorite big booty Latina” and charging that she wants to “kill babies.”

Stein appears to acknowledge Ocasio-Cortez at one point in the video, and she moves toward him. She is heard asking, “Why don’t we take a little picture,” before turning and walking away from Stein up the stairs while waving a peace sign.

Stein told Insider he would “love to date” Ocasio-Cortez and that he found her to be “absolutely beautiful” when contacted for comment. Stein said he is “actually very hygienic” in response to a question about the lawmaker’s statement that the episode was “very disgusting.”

A request for comment from Insider was not immediately met by Ocasio supporters. Cortez’s

On Wednesday, Stein also shared other videos, one of which shows him addressing Rep. Adam Kinzinger on the Capitol steps and calling him a “fake RINO Republican” and a “scumbag,” among other insults.

Stein originally gained notoriety in March 2021 when speaking during a Texas municipal council meeting about “putting a bullet in Putin’s brain.”

At a GOP rally in Texas in June, he then got into a fight with Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, calling Crenshaw a “globalist RINO” and an “eyepatch McCain.”

Crenshaw later shot back at Stein in a tweet, stating: “This is what happens when angry little boys like @alexstein99 don’t grow up and can’t get girlfriends.”
